David Eisenband is a music educator, composer, arranger, and choral singer originally from Atlanta, GA. He has arranged numerous songs for the Eugene Peace Choir and has composed original music for choir, children's choir, solo voice, various chamber ensembles, and orchestra. In 2010 he won the Henry Schuman Music Prize for his composition Six Songs of Emily Dickinson. David holds a master's degree in teaching from Pacific University and a master's in music composition from the University of Oregon, where he sang with the UO Chamber Choir. He earned a bachelor's degree in music and English from Duke University. In addition to directing the Eugene Peace Choir, David is an elementary school music specialist in Eugene public schools. David enjoys spending time with family, camping, fishing, and rock climbing.
